 Re: fastest hull
Those mods cost $1585 ( retail) plus shipping and taxes, so I don't know where the $2000 figure came from.
It DOES NOT have an aftertmarket Cam.
It is a round chine boat with full floatation and plenty of side and floor bracing. So its not a stripped down hull either. We all know from reading on the www. That the round chines are 1-2mph slower. Just what I've read.....
I cant speak for the guys running at sea level but I've driven GT motors here. I did drive a stocker GT that ran 29-30 but it was on a 350lb boat that was only 15' Of all the motors I've seen and driven I see no speed difference when comparing Them in the same conditions,
I just don't see it.

 Re: fastest hull
Don't sweat it Mudd, just take your rig down to their backyard and GPS it. You will see a 2-3 mph gain, I don't know if it's the fuel, how the stars align or the position of the satellites, but I noticed it on both rigs I've dragged down there.

 Re: fastest hull
Thats funny DeltaDumbazz.
I do recall seing a Pro Drive In Wi go over 40mph on an 18' boat, and I must have mad skilz because I have and can make any Stock PD or MB runn with any GT. Thats why I said theres no difference from what Ive seen.
Just sayin.
BTW, I have no idea what you run other than a GT motor. Hell I didnt even know that untill some Pro Drive owner forwarded a vid of you trying to back up in heavy vegitation and all that happened was that you filled your boat with weeds and water. Go figure.
So, what motor mods do you have done, what prop ( stock or repitched) , What kinda rpm do you run, what gearing, and at what speed????
Hell, I dunno what hull your even running, what is it?
Common, inquireing minds want to know.........
What makes you soooooo faaaast?

 Re: fastest hull
I cannot speak for DDM but my mods with a worn stock 12x10 prop, stock gears turning 4300 my best speed in deep water was 32.8 and 34.6 in shallow water. That is in a gatortail 17x54.
When the motor was stock on a .125 16x48 the motor would run just under 30 all day turning 3950 with an 11x9 stock prop.
No BS just the facts.

 Re: fastest hull
Well awritey then MitchV !!!!! Folks are just wantin' mo power and be able to go faster !!! I wonder why when "normal" fellers purchace a 25hp Yamaha on a 1650 WarEagle thay don't put the GPS mph to it? Why don't thay start changin' the reeds and tryin' various propellers? Why do these MudMotorMachingThangs attract "gear-heads" and "gear-head" wanna-be's? Mines GTR-35 has done everythang that I expected purdy much ........ BUT ........ I wants More !!!!!!

 Re: fastest hull
That's the point that kinda got lost. I posted because it was a good reference about a round chine with a lightly modded Pro Drive on it. The numbers were good and not a ton in mods, seems there are a lot of unanswered Questions about this combo and how they match up.
This just happened to be a "leftover" Motor and boat from last season, we threw Some mods at it and were pleasantly suprised.
I think there's a little more speed to be had with it but need to keep the water from Sucking up the sides . I know they came up with something and will be able to Test it for myself in a few weeks
