Does ANYBODY round these parts run a Tracker Grizzly?
Howdy fellers! I ask as I just ordered an 1860 today and can't wait to set it up for hunting and fishing! BB

Running a 1754 with a 32 PD. Buddy runs a 1654 with a 40 MB.
What are you gonna strap on the back?

Planning on a Mercury 60 and as far as the avatar is concerned- that's a nasty crack! (sorry! Couldn't help myself!) The considerable motor is due to the fact that it will be a fishing vessel in the spring/summer and early fall(mostly on Greenwood and Hopatcong Lakes) and then get pressed into waterfowling duty on the Hudson when duck season comes up. Not many swamps I can get into with a mud motor where I live. BB

60 should push that rig just fine. They're not the lightest boats around, but you should be doin a good job of bug collecting with that setup.

I top out at 27 running solo when conditions are perfect, but typically 24-25 solo. Buddy's running about 0.1 mph faster than me with his bigger motor. Must be cause he has a shorter boat.

Re: Does ANYBODY round these parts run a Tracker Grizzly?
My previous boat was a Grizzly 1754SC with a 90hp Merc on it. Full throttle it would go 51 mph and cruise at 41-42 at 4000 rpm. It was definitely a fun boat to ride in but would slide in turns like you wouldn't believe. Quite a few times the boat would turn completely and still be moving in the original direction I was traveling in. Scary as hell.
