 Tow'N'charge
Has anyone tried one of these? http://www.stayncharge.com/our-products.html Just thought it looked like a neat product. Being able to charge while towing to the lake seems like a good idea. Thanks in advance.

 Re: Tow'N'charge
So, $45 for the new plug + the charger = $200... My $30 wal-mart charger keeps sounding better & better

Not very clear, but it looks like you can attach the wiring directly to a single battery while towing. I tried to call the phone # given but no one answered.

 Re: Tow'N'charge
As long as you only want to charge one battery you can get away with the $45 plug. Run 12 volt wiring from the plug to the battery and your charging while the vehicle is running. I did something similar with my rig. I have two batteries with a battery switch so I can run my motor and electronics on either. I have a 12 volt plug up near the bow of my boat for running headlamps and such. I just ran from the 7 wire plug to the 12 volt plug in the bow of my boat. Whichever battery I have my battery selector switch on is charging while my truck is running and the boat is on the trailer behind the truck. I don't have access to power where I store my boat so this was the cheapest option to keep my batteries topped off.

 Re: Tow'N'charge
That's kinda what I was thinking. With only one battery, I may just plug into my trolling motor outlet. I appreciate the feedback.

 Re: Tow'N'charge
you could also just wire it to the running lamps of your trailer, then as long as the headlights are on the batt would be charging.
