Post Boat deck
I have 1644 godevil and the front deck is dented in the middle. The guy I bought it from used it some hog hunting and im guessing a big hog dented it. Its in the middle and dented between the braces. It only dips down abiut an inch but it drives me nuts with it not being flat. I tried to knock it out but there is some foam still on the upper part under the deck and combined with the rake of the boat......i cant knock it back out. Any ideas on maybe how to fix it? I thought aboyt getting anothet piece of .125 cut and putting it over it and riveting it down and slapping some more turf over it.....

If you are going to Hydro Turf it, then that isnt a bad idea.. Though< you may want to float out the dent with some red hand or something. then add your metal and rivet..

That would be the cheapest...

If you're gonna cover it, why not drill a small hole in the middle & use an automotive dent puller? the fill the hole & turf over it.

The deck probably needs to be rebraced. My GD boat did the same thing. I just learned to deal with it.

Mine had actually been completely removed & replaced with 1/8 diamond plate flush across the top. Had a 2nd piece bent on a 90 that slipped under it & really supportted it well.

I like the way that looks camo.

I had wondered about using some sort of filler like u suggested J. Im not familiar with that product but ill put the google on it.

The puller is a good idea but since it goes almost the width of the deck im not sure it would stay.

I had a good dent in the front bow of my hull where a cypress tree jumped in my way. I beat it back into shape and then used some body filler to level out what was left. HT over that and you would never know. Yours is not in a good spot though and the reason it dented in the first place is probably due to the bracing. So if it can still flex under weight it may crack the filler.

I may just try the filler and go ovr it with a piece of .125 and see what happens. The dent is kind of in a bowl shape. Maybe if I get it riveted down good it'll stay put even if it does crack.

I fix dents in cars and Aluminum in very tough to get back to shape after it's been dented. My advice to you is put a neo mat or hydroturf over it.
