 WHAT PROP FOR MY GDLT?
Hey all, Bought an older 18HP GDLT and while changing out the lower seals I saw the prop was marked 9x6. When I ran this on a 14x36 flat bottom with one other guy, I got 14mph (deep water and lily pads). With 2 guys in the boat with me, I was running 11mph. I saw on the GO-DEVIL website that they recommend a 9x4 prop for an 18hp. Should I go with the 9x4 or get a new 9x6? What would be the pros/cons for each? I would like to get some more mph as I largely run open water/some mud/some sand. The only mods I will be doing right now is a custom exhaust and a different throttle set-up. Any other place to get a new prop besides GO-DEVIL you would recommend?
Help a first time mm owner out please! Lookinup

Re: WHAT PROP FOR MY GDLT?
If you want to carry a hunting load a little faster, get a 9x3
If you want to go faster empty a 9x5 or 9x6 may do okay.
