short to long transom swap, help needed

 short to long transom swap, help neededhow much trouble and $ is it to take a short transom mudmotor and convert it to a tall? when a motor is trimmed down to parrallel with boat, should prop be lower than thw bottom of boat and if so how much? I've got a 17inch transom on boat and I'm wandering how much trouble and $ swap would be.

Re: short to long transom swap, help needed No --- the shaft should run downhill to engage the water --- otherwise
