Trying to put together a small, backwater rig that could possibly cross a little open water if need be. Had a 13 foot gheenoe with my 15 merc on it and it was too little. Tried a 1436 jon and its not quite there either. Was looking hard at the weldbilt crawdads, but thought maybe a custom 12 to 13 foot true crawfish skiff with my 15 might be perfect. Would like something that weighed about 200lbs or so with either round chines for turning or a good welded on keel for turning. Maybe 80 ga sides and 125 bottom. Any thoughts of whether that might work and what something like that would cost me.

unless you plan on crawfishing, a crawfish skiff is not your best option, especially for open water.

1448 jon boat would probably suffice.
