 Re: AR scopes
I think a good 1-4x24 would fit your needs very well. Trijicon makes two models one a 1.25x4 and one a true 1x4. Burris also makes a popular 1-4. If you go budget, check out primary arms. They have a nice 1-4 for cheap.

 Re: AR scopes
I've got a Trijicon ACOG TA-11 on my carbine upper and a Leupold Vari-X III tactical on my target upper. Been very pleased with both. Aside from it's intended use as a "take back the neighborhood" scope, the ACOG also makes an excellent predator hunting scope. The illuminated "donut" aiming point works extremely well in low light conditions.

 Re: AR scopes
I shoot the Trijicon TR21 1.25-4x24. Best low light scope I've seen. I love the Amber recticle.

 Re: AR scopes
unless you plan becoming a mercenary or starting your own private defence sector you don't need an ACOG. sure, it'll make you look & feel cool for a little while, but do you really need to drop all those nickels on something so specialized? if you consider "long range" under 100 meters, chances are you can find something to fit the bill for a lot less. don't limit yourself to scopes marketed "specifically for the AR platform". i have a Nikon M223 on one of my AR's & truthfully I can't see any real advantage of the scope. i'm sure i'd be shooting the same with any other name brand scope uder $200 bucks!

 Re: AR scopes
any of yall shot or heard any thing negative on a burris ar332 , being doing alot of research on them and seem like a good sight... ya unless i win the lotto or some one gives me one. I will never own a ACOG that's ridiculous for a scope!
