Post PD 36 auto reverse problems
I have a PD 36 auto reverse on a center console PD boat. I am having problem with my reverse. Sometimes, but not always, when I press the reverse button the lower unit rotates ridiculously slow and then stops, but you can hear the hydraulic pumps working. Then when it stops you can press the forward button and it goes back to forward with no problem but then press the reverse and it's slow again. Fluids are all good. Anyone else had this problem?

My rig is only 3 months old and I planned on bringing it back to the dealer, but it's gonna have to wait til after the season. I was hoping that it was nothing major. Thanks for your input

Had the same issue with mine 2010 model. Kp said it was a warped cylinder barrel. Mine was doing what you described. Just remember you will have an issue in thick mud and will have to trim up to get in reverse. Call pd they'll fix it takes about ten minutes

Had the same issue an a new cylinder fixed it. Peck had me send mine in and he would repair or replace it.

It's more than likely you cylinder, but also if you over grease the reverse gears it allows a great place for everything to stick to, like mud, shells, small rocks etc....... All this can reak havoc on you gear lash causing it to bind.
