Post Tips for buying used
I am looking at buying my first mud boat, I found a 2001 Go-Devil 1648 with the 27hp kohler long tail, it is the split seat model w/ trailer. He is asking $2500 and looks like a great deal but is there any advice in looking over this boat and motor that ya'll could give me, thanks.

thats a good deal for that combo. Take a look at the bottom of the boat to make sure its not beat to hell. Also, the floatation foam under the floor may be waterlogged if it is the original stuff and may need removing or replacing. As for the motor, never owned a LT, but the kohler is a very solid engine.

If you want to swirl wine and stay in a room where politics and investment diversity are discussed (with no roaches) lake lanier is near Atlanta. If you wanna have an awesome time and maybe stay in a room where children were conceived on one side and someone got stabbed over an 8-ball on the other come on down I got a can of raid. :D

i just went ahead and took the foam out of the floor on my 16-44, its an 04. Wasn't really waterlogged, but didn't wanna take the chance' Just drill the rivets out, pull the foam, and put the floor back in. You may have to brace in between the longitudinal ribs to make the floor sturdy if you don't replace the foam.
