Manual says you can use ... Mystic 30 or any Non-Detergent 30 oil .... or you can use Dextron Transmission Fluid ....

Querston is ~ How can this be ?? I assume whats goin' on inside that thang is a "pump" mabe some "gears" and the "ram" ...... How is it that it can operate on different types of lube ??

I've never had to mess with it. I use Non-Detergent 30 only for the tranny

Any oil will compress enough to power a ram.

Mines died from lack of fluid !!! Don't really know where the fluid went ... 7 years old this year .... ?? Anyhow ~ I gots the manual off the MMT search feature and it said to add fluid ... I used the Mystic 30 .. 'cause it was the first on the list ... and trim motor gots to where as it wouldn't even hummmm ..... light tap with hammer and she went to hummmin' !!! It also went to back workin' just fine !!!

I have a little knowledge of Hydrolic's .... you know high-preasure lines like on a tractor and such .... I just couldn't make mineself understand how this little 12volt pump ram works .... most 'specially on different types of fluid.
