 Hull options
Ok, so I am placing my order on my new 1844 Geaux tomorrow and want some opinions of yall's "can't live without" options. I am getting the open hull plan, with and extended deck, deck hatch, a couple 12 volts, and bilge. Pretty basic because of money. But i am either thinking about getting the trolling motor bracket and plug, the deck rails, or spud poles. Lets hear them, and I am sorry I know this is probably posted A LOT but I just searched and couldn't find any.

 Re: Hull options
I had Gatortail weld 2 bracket on each side of the hull to mount rod holders to. I also use them to hold my paddles, nets, etc by just sliding them behing the bracket. You can kinda see one of the brackets in the pic below.
I have the holes in my front deck for a bowfishing platform but don't have the platform yet. But I have used the holes for many things like attaching my blind and mounting bowfishing lights. If you plan on adding a blind, figure out how you will mount it now so you can add anything you need for that now instead of retro-fitting it afterwards.
Later on I also had them add a receiver hitch up front (easier to fabricate into the hull while building it and not after the fact) and a spud pole hole for a cajun anchor. It's cheaper to do things now instead of down the road trying to find a skilled welder to add some little things you didn't think about.
