Post Dixie Motors
Just graduated from higschooland got a little cash saved up. I've been looking at the big names go-devil, beavertail, muddy buddy...etc. I know these guys have a good rep from a lot of members on here. I was just wondering if theres any serious information I can get from Dixie. Maybe someone has one that had a good or bad experience with them that would want to elaborate really any info would help. Looking to save a buck buy going with these guys, but if there gona be a piece of shit I won't waste any money and maybe wait another year.

Post Re: Dixie Motors
every post I have seen where someone has bought one, there has been an issue. Granted, Dixie fixed them, but my deal is why buy something new when you are pretty sure there will be an issue quickly? what size motor you wanting? Smaller motor...copperhead for sure. 23 or bigger, one of the big 3 (and they aint go devil or beaver tail  )

actually I'm running it on my 16.5x52 bowfishing rig right now, but it doesn't push it for chit when its loaded down which is prob more like over loaded. I'm honestly thinking of getting a bigger dixie. here's a pic of it on my duck boat and my bowfishing boat.

Yea, Its a bit of drive for you. But they seem to be good guys and taking care of business. I called them like 10 times a day for a week and a half about my 18hp, I'm sure I was annoying the hell out of them! lol Let me know how the aluminum frame is, what's the weight difference?

I talked to the guys there at Dixie and was planning to buy the 35 hp from them the guy in the phone seemed more than helpful for me and didn't seem to be in a rush to get off the phone
But a used mudbuddy popped up here close to home and I went with it sorry Dixie guys!!
As far as issues with a Dixie motor hell I've had isssues with this mudbuddy
I would buy it and not be scared!!
