I'm down for the federal or state govt paying for contreception, if it actually "worked". Personally I think all on welfare should be ordered to a public clinic where they have a Nueva Ring or have the shot given to them. Heck with tax breaks and additional money the govt practically gives them incentive to have more children. However, irresponsible people aren't capable of using birth control the right way and mistakes are made regardless. So this conversation is a waste of time, because its not going to decrease the amount of unwanted pregnancies. Besides it doesn't prevent diseases and thats another issue among the people that will benefit from these types of programs.
I'm all for it if it prevents a single mother from having 14 kids with 12 different dads all while living in Section 8 and being employed at McDonalds. But we know that this won't help matters, it will just have negative affect. SO i'm for it and against it if that makes sense.
