 Need pics and suggestions
Alright guys, I've got a 16x54 GD boat with a 35GDSD with EVT intake, Mikuni carb, and EVT exhaust. I cannot run my boat with just me in it. I've talk to a few people about the porposing problems I'm having. A few people have talked about adding wedges. I also talked to Warren Coco about it. He suggested welding a bead across the bottom of the boat where the bottom meets the angled part of the transom. He also said that I could beat a hook right in front of the transom to create more drag.
Has anyone used any of these things to help bring the bow of the boat down? If so, can ya'll post some pictures so I can get some ideas.
I have already cut the bow open on my boat and mounted my 2 6 gallon fuel tanks under the bow. I'm trying to figure out how to move my battery to the bow without spending a fortune in wire and cable to get the job done. To anyone who has moved the battery to the bow, can you give me some suggestions as to what cable was used and possibly where to get it from.
Thanks, Scooter

SO (pronounced esso) cable - for 30 to 50 bucks from a good electrical supply house you can get the cable rated for at least 20 amps AC to hook up a 2 battery system and put a small breaker box or a Perco switch in to parallel the batteries so that they will charge while running.... Use second battery for fishing lights and / or trolling motor....
It is tough and small enough diameter that you can run it in the floor down through the water channels on each side of your GD hull where you likely already have your fuel line run.... Remove the existing motor leads and cut SO to correct lengths - go to a truck stop and have them press on high load terminal ends for a few bucks....
My GDSD had the same issue at 28mph or higher - battery move solved the problem without adding any extra drag or weight to what I already had in the boat - just relocated it...

Thanks Giga. I'll look into that. My boat starts around 21 mph in deep water. I've seen 29.8 with just me in shallows. I gotta get this fixed. Lol.

 Re: Need pics and suggestions
I have a 16x60,35sd, heads decked, carb.,intake adpator and exhaust runni ng 33mph in deep water and experience no bouncing. I had a custom 12 gallon aluminum tank mounted behind the deck that extends the deck by about 5 inches. I had the tank mounted before the mods to the engine so I am not sure if that is why I have no bounce. During the summer I have trolling motor and a battery also mounted in front. Good luck!!

I moved my battery to the front using remote terminals from West Marine ($20) mounted to the transom and 6 gauge SO cord ($25) that I ran down the opposite channel as the fuel line. The cord has 3 strands but I only used 2. I attached some pictures.
