 Re: Excel Boats
so, you think an extra .025 of aluminum is the solution? It may keep it in shape a little longer, but even a .190 will dent... BRACING
You can clearly see in that pic where there are things crossing the bottom of the boat, I doubt they have changed that.

 Re: Excel Boats
Yes. It is called extra BRACING. You don't have to capitalize a whole word. If you'd take the time and research it clearly shows it on Excels website. It ain't like they are lying about it being longitudinal ribs and putting horizontal ribs in the boat. They are cross-bracing to add extra strength. Call it as you want but if people werent trying to skip on price they woulda ordered their boats with the right hull thickness and material. I'm not a cheerleader for mb. I just know if people would have ordered the right stuff the first time, they wouldn't be on here talking all this shit about, "My .100 gauge boat got dents in it from running wide open through stump-infested Reelfoot, etc, etc.

 Re: Excel Boats
Go look on Excels website.
There are video's of these boats jumping beavers dams, hitting stumps, and hitting the bank at wide open. Then when you dent a boat they call it abuse... that my friend is chicken shit. The longitudinal bracing they use is like a peice of channel with 1-2 inches coming off each side.
