As we celebrate our Nation's birthday, let us all remember the brave patriots who risked everything to stand up to tyranny. God bless our Founders who didn't trust governments and therefore put limits on its powers. They believed...no, they knew that limiting government was the basis of freedom. They knew that absolute power corrupts absolutely. One of the safeguards they pit in place was demonstrated last summer during the debt ceiling crisis, and yet the media demonized it. Gridlock.... By separating government into three branches as a form of checks and balances, a possible result could be gridlock. No one branch can have more power than its supposed to....unless there is an abuse of their duties. (Unfortunately, we've seen such abuses).

We are free because of visionaries, but are losing our freedoms because our elected officials are abusing their duties. It is time that everyone who believes in freedom, stand together and remind those in office that their duties include protecting the Constitution, not bastardize it.

Anyone who does not believe in Freedom, the American dream, the land of opportunity, and would rather have more government and less freedom, do us all a favor and move to France or any other country of your choice.

Well stated. Plenty of other countries ta live in if ya want less rights.
