I am going to look at a 18 foot go devil with a 35 hp long tail Beavertail motor on it. I have never had a mud motor or a boat like this, always have had bass type boats. Is there anything I should look at in particular or any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the bottom of the boat doesn't have bad hooks/dents. Check the prop to see how worn down it is. Also check oil in motor and make sure it's been properly been maintained. And have him open up the throttle when you start it to make sure it runs like it's supposed to.
