Pull up to the 4 truck back down after hunting today and two fellows have both double back downs completely blocked. While putting things away. I get the truck cranked and waiting a good 5 minutes finally walk over and ask politely if one of the two could pull up to were folks with sense pack up. Guy gives me a when I'm done response. Then His buddy actually pulls up and starts bs'ing. Long story short 15 minutes to back into the water.

The absolute worst part is between them they had 6 kids running around. Two assholes are bad enough but now they are training 6 more.

When people block the ramp over here I just start backing beside them or no matter if its a single or not. They either get the hell out of my way, or they get real pissed off.

I'm not sure who is worst, the idiots like thoughs or the ones without running lights on thier boats. Probably the same people in most cases.

I've never understood people like this. It's like those that sit on "walkways " never figured that one out, other than a complete lack of a " consideration compass" .

We have alot of cuts down here and i get the same looks from people that are fishing in the middle of the cut that i'm trying to go down, kinda like people fishing in boat lanes at the lake, i use to blow by them with the 300X screaming. Common sense people common sense and if you choose to fish these places then you know the consequences going into it

cb, Alabama's hunting is very different from Louisiana's. While I agree with the majority of what you said, it just isn't applicable here. We don't have the options that you speak of here, and we go through certain steps to assure that we get to hunt our own blind opening morning ONLY. Then it's fair game all season, which means my work before the season benefits everyone else all season. In years past, it's always been an unwritten rule and a common courtesy we hunters extended to one another. Only in the last few years have there started to be confrontations, and that stems almost completely from newcomers to our duck hunting that don't understand how it works. They just need to understand it, but when they start running their mouths and instagating a fight, they need to get another kind of lesson. The same kind that's been handed down for years. Saying that guy belongs in jail is exactly what Obama and dguidry would say...

I agree with all that cb said, and yes I realize we might as well be on different planets as far as regulations go, but the principle is the same. If you want to hunt a specific spot, get there before everybody else, if not tough titty. There is no such thing as "your" blind on public land, as soon as you leave it it becomes public property.

I honestly just don't have any interest in hunting lakes like that man. You may kill more birds, but I'd rather hunt hard and scratch than deal with the arguing and shit anymore. Luckily, I have options around here that some others don't and I just don't have the headaches. We have to get there early and sometimes it's all for nothing, but I honestly enjoy it much more.

Well my whole point here revolves around courtesy and respect for your fellow hunter. Clearly cb is one of the many fucksticks that has no concept of that...

Here is an example of what I would call respect for your fellow outdoorsman:

My dad came out to visit the week before thanksgiving. We spent an entire afternoon scouting, found a few options, and showed up at the lake at about 430 (this was for a Tuesday morning hunt, weekends we are usually in the water by 3ish). When we got to the ramp, there was only one boat and they were heading in the opposite direction of the way we were planning on going so we figured we were good to go. Ran about 7 miles to get to our "option A" and when we started getting close, we saw some headlamps flashing around...some walk ins had made it there before us. Though it was a rather large area and we probably could have set up 6-700 yards away and given them plenty of room, we backed out and headed about 10-12 miles back through our stump infested shit hole, down to the other side of the lake to our option B. Nobody else was around, so we set up and had a decent hunt. A few others headed in our direction as it approached shooting time, and I just shined the light up in the air while we were getting set up to let them know where we were. Don't think we had another boat within 1000 yards that morning....That entire morning to me is what showing your fellow hunters respect and common courtesy is all about. Not real sure where you got your definition of respect, but it definitely doesn't jive with mine.

Send me the coordinates to that blind. I wanna go there and meet ol mallard. I've never had stitches but I've used the fuck out of super glue. If anyone punches me in the face its past whose duck hole I am in. I'm not saying I am billy badass, I'm just to stupid to stop.

To me thats dumb... Although I pay for my blinds annually, and the rule is that noone can hunt it if im there, no matter what time I get there, and theres also a rule saying you cant hunt within 1000 feet of a blind with the person who owns it in it... Ive ran up on people in my blind and also in blinds that I have permission to hunt out of by the people who built it and pay for it annually and Ive never once acted like a hardass, or tried to kick them out. Hell the few times I have gotten there a bit late, and there was someone else in it, I told them to just stay there, and we could have a hunt together or I could move to another spot. Twice I pulled up and had the guys already walking out to pick up decoys and pack up and move and I told them not to worry about it, ill either find another spot or if yall dont mind hop back in there and make room for me and a buddy. Had a good hunt with both the guys that happened with, and even scored some private hunting spots by doing so.

The other guy didint move, and had even yelled "Sorry I know the owner of the blind, and he gave me permission to hunt it,so move on" I kindly said, "Im the owner, I built and pay for this blind, but I dont mind if you hunt it.. Do you mind if I join?" Of course he said no and even apologized and said he would move to a different spot. We ended up having a good hunt with him, cooked him breakfast, and gave him half the birds we killed (3 man limit). About a year later I got a phone call from the same dude asking if I wanted to join him on a hunt in arkansas on one of his buddys leases. I ended up not able to go due to work..

Moral of this story is.. Show respect and be kind to others, even if your not entitled to, and 9 times out of 10 it will benefit you.. This is with everything not just hunting.. Seems like people now days are failing to realize this though, because there are just more and more selfish peices of turds out there who you cant trust for nothing
