I'm not blaming Corey for any of this mess, I've never talked with him at all. All my dealings were with Jessie only.

Different lists lol I think poker1 was referring to ass stomping lost after goosie retires. I was talking about the list of excuses goosie wrote that Jesse gave.

Re: Deep South Customs out of business?
Thanks I appreciate that. I just want to build boats that people are proud to own. This situation has made it tough but as my builds get out there the boats will speak for themselves.

Re: Deep South Customs out of business?
I could not be prouder to own Corey's "first" boat., and I am proud to call him a friend. I could not ask for a better experience, a better value, or a better finished product. I can honestly and without hesitation say that he is a man of honesty and integrity. Yea, he wants to make a living, but he wants to do it by building great boats and making his customers happy. If anybody wants to know more, or wants to see his work, pm me. I'd be happy to show it off Hey C-dog, we need to go fishing again, soon Seriously.

Nope. Just happy with the process and with the boat. Wanted to be sure people here heard from me as I am the only one here who has one of his boats. Sorry if I used y'all's secret smiley code for blowing each other, I'm not up on all the homo lingo.

Re: Deep South Customs out of business?
Lol well I'm not blowing any boat builder! When I pull the trigger on another boat in spring/summer I'll probably end up going with a Phowler or Prodrive through my local dealer. All these custom boat builders and their shit sure has left a bad taste in my mouth...

None called you back because they were all busy building boats. The only ones that answer are the ones waiting for money to fall into their lap.

Re: Deep South Customs out of business?
Speaking for myself, I can always find time 2 call back or answer. However it is very time consuming for small builders or one man bands like myself because we don't have sales departments. prob 30% of calls are tire kickers. but like unc J said before. most of our clients become friends. maybe because of the relationship during the build and commitment to get it right or make it right.

^^^To add to this.......InstaGator911 is building my boat as I post this. Well I hope his is. I knew going into it he builds 95% of the boat with no help. 1 man show. I knew it wasn't going to be a quick build, but I know what I am going to get is going to be just the way I want it and about as well built as it could get from anyone else. And yes we have become good friends over the past years of him welding up things on my previous boats. I do call him everyday and touch base and give him a rash of shit if he is doing something else. But in the end I dont care if it take 4 more weeks. It will be right. But I know Brack wishes he would hurry so he can start building his

Re: Deep South Customs out of business?
While we're on the subject of phone calls, I didn't even have to call J to get mine started. He heard through a friend that I wanted a boat built, and he actually called me first. Granted that's not typically how it goes, I guess I just got lucky

Re: Deep South Customs out of business?
CJB, You where special!!!
That's not a everyday occurrence. LOL
I devote 100% of my time to those that I hold a deposit. Think of it like this, what's worst, not answering a call before an order is places, or not answering it after you've given a deposit due to the builder talking with tire kickers. I get approx 10 emails per day, and approx. 15 or so phone calls. I do try to treat everyone with the upmost urgency.. Though, I've found that the buyers that are serious call back. Sometimes over and over again. LOL. That's when I know they serious.
Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings but I guarantee I've made more friends than enemies..
With love, Uncle J
