Hello everyone, my name is Donnie. I am a 7year Vet and still active duty in the USAF. I have been a duck hunter my whole life and this season I finally got around to purchasing my own boat. I bought a 14x36 Alweld with a Copperhead 10 HP SD (my situation calls for a smaller boat/engine).

Hi Im Justin. Im from South Carolina. Im an avid duck hunter and outdoorsman. I drive Phowler boats with prodive motors when is can. My buddy is a dealer and i drive his boats on occasion. I currently don't have a mud boat of my own but im trying to change that on a budget lol. im looking for a less than 10 hp mud motor to go on my small john boat so if you know where i can find one for a good price let me know.

Re: New MMT Member Intros
Hi. Looking to investing in a new mud motor/boat combo. The old weedless Johnson 4 horse has served me well but is no longer reliable. I wouldn't mind putting a new motor on the sport boat as well. The new rig will have to serve some time as a fishing boat as well so definitely thinking about something like the new GTR 25 but with which boat remains a complete mystery. Would appreciate any PM's as to suggestions or responses to this post.
Thanks in advance.
FYI I live in Northern Minnesota and this new rig will be required to do some ice breaking. Must travel some big water at times, hunt both hard and soft bottom, and hunt in thick rice littered with stumps and logs.

DJ Dubuisson from Ponchatoula, La. I registered a while back, but kinda just sit back and read, trying to take in all the information I can about mud motors/boats. I've run some longtails but never surface drives. I currently don't have a boat(except for the broken down Nitro 911 sitting in the driveway, that belonged to my dad), but I'm hoping to get a rig to hunt from by next season.

Re: New MMT Member Intros
John from Belle Chasse, la Whats Up ya'll, My rig is a 17x54 PD boat w/ 36PD motor. This is mostly a fishing rig but I do go for the hogs every now and then. I have the boat decked out with HDS 7 GPS and fish finder. The boat has been the best rig I've ever owned. It even got better when I made the switch to a three blade prop. The motor runs much smoother and I find it better in the mud. Well gotta get back to work but I'll talk to ya'll soon.

Re: New MMT Member Intros
Just registered with the site. Looking to learn about duck boats to possibly purchase one in the future. I hunt and live in Central California. Interested in a boat to hunt from and also bass and trout fish from. Thanks in advance for answering any stupid questions I may have in the future!
Also , looking in the boats for sale section I cannot see some pictures and it says I do not have the proper access or permission to see these photos... Not sure what's up with that....

Re: New MMT Member Intros
Hi everyone I'm fixing to order my first mud motor. I know I want an 1854 extreme with a 35 gtr but not sure about the layout and what mods to get on my motor. Will be test driving some as soon as I get a chance. There is a lot of good info on this site. Thanks in advance for putting up with my ignorance about mud motors.
