Re: Dog Stolen in Lafayette
I can never think its right to own one especially if I have kids. It's not worth the chance of risking something happening. Hell I don't trust any dogs
That is fair.
I don't have kids either, but like you, I would be a little wary with any larger breed around small children.

Re: Dog Stolen in Lafayette
Well well, here the man comes on here and post and ask for some help about a stolen dog then comes back and posts that his dog was killed by a Pit Bull and if he is keeping up with the thread he has to read about how good the breed of the dog that killed his hunting dog is. And some wonder why the MB is run so strict. What has happened here is a slap in the fact to the owner of the Lab. This is not the case of having to have thick skin to stay on MMT, it is a personal insult to the owner of the Lab, but I guess he probably knew what most of this site was all about. If it benefits you then you take the ball and run and fuck the rest. Personal or not. Oh and fuck MB too.

Just saw this...I'm glad they have someone in custody and I hope the prosecutor is a hunter and lab owner.

Re: Dog Stolen in Lafayette
The guy is a multiple repeat offender and gave a complete confession. The DA is a hunter and dog owner. He was aware of the case before the arrest.

Sorry ya'll weren't able to get Boz back safely. I'm glad to see they caught the guy that did this though. Now, hopefully they won't let him off with just a slap on the wrist.

Re: Dog Stolen in Lafayette
Something still strange about the case. Since when does a trained Lab just jump out of his cage because the door is open. I have a half azz trained Lab and still have to tell her to come out when the dog carrier is open and she won't just run off. Usually stays around the truck, unless told to go. Crook just covered his azz with that story. Someone needs to get news inside that jail that he is a child molester.

Re: Dog Stolen in Lafayette
The case should be treated as a kidnapping. If not that far, theft of property worth $10K or more. I think then it's considered a felony.

Re: Dog Stolen in Lafayette
I want to apologize for the thread jacking and send my condolences out to Boz and his family again. I feel the same way about my pit as most of you do about whatever breed you own and I'm inclined to go on the defensive just as most of you would do if someone said they wanted to kill your dog. She is just as much of a part of my family as any of your dogs are a part of yours.
If there is anything we can do as forum members to help right this wrong, please let us know. I would be more than ecstatic about trying to start a fund to get a new puppy and get it trained. I'm not able to help out much, but a little bit from a bunch of us would go a long ways. I know you guys said that his dad is a trainer and they would be able to get him a new pup, and that a replacement may not help to replace the hole left behind by Boz's absence, but if there is anything we can do, please let us know.
