 Re: Pointed Bows
I like my stubby point on my boat but the long Gator tail points look pretty good

 Re: Pointed Bows
I like the stubby point also. More deck space but it will still glance off trees and shit when u hit something.

 Re: Pointed Bows
I have had both. The pointed was better for the woods. You bounce off the trees and it will push you in the direction you want to go

 Re: Pointed Bows
Owen, I went from the flat bow and rake on my gatortrax to the hybrid rake with v bow. It is a much dryer ride in the chop or when encountering boat wakes. And it's better in the timber. I can always text a pic if you pm your number

 Re: Pointed Bows
owen i personally think the gatortail pointed bows look bad arse! i also like the sharper point for navigating tight timber. i like my go devil pointed bow and all but sometimes it doesnt seem sharp enough to "thread the needle" in some of the timber i run

I like the gatortails. Don't care for the stubby point at all.

 Re: Pointed Bows
I dont like the long point on the newer gatortails. I think the one brother sent me is a happy medium between a stub nose one, and a long one.

I like the looks of that point Owen. I think you're right that you wouldn't want to go to any less of a point than that though.

BayouBugs - who built the boat in the first pic? I like the shape of that hull.

 Re: Pointed Bows
The point should be at a 45 degree angle and rounded where it meets the side of the boat IMO. Of all those I have seen the Gator Tail looks best.
