Anyone going to the Milwaukee Sports Show this weekend? It usually sucks (especially with the lack of free chew) but I end up going anyways, will probably be there sat. Maybe Mark's will have a unicorn there.....

My curiosity got the best of me and I called Marks.... No unicorn there.

Never found it really worth going after the first time I went. Id rather go to the small town gun shows and do some mississippi river walleye fishing this time of the year.

Agreed, I went the last couple years and it doesn't seem to change much year to year... plus the river is breaking open, perfect time to be jigging some walleye or taking mudboat to the good ice fishing holes in back channels(screw walking)

Yeah, i don't expect it to have changed much, but you never know. Tickets are only $8 this year and its only a short drive for me, so i figured what the hell?

i have to work so i won't be making it either. sounds like one of the landings is gonna get blown up tomorrow so if that happens i'll probably try to get the boat out and hit the dam

I live 5 minutes from the fair grounds but probably wont go....shamrock stumble pub crawl on Saturday and if its not raining Sunday Ill be hungover like a mofo either on the ice or flyfishing steelhead on the river. Missed the musky show this year

Crowded Saturday. Pretty standard... lots of fishin gear, not many guns or hunting gear. Beavertail had a fair amount of stuff. I had not ever seen their blinds close up. Nice. Had I not bulit my own this year I'd consider buying one. Me and a couple of buddies want to do Lake Erie walleye and perch, so we talked to all those guys. Probably five or six there. Lots of resort booths. Minnesota and Canada, especially.

Resort booths were plentiful and I can't imagine they get a whole lot of business at the show. Looked at the Beavertail boats and they were built so horribly I was laughing. I am thinking about getting into spear fishing so all the dive booths were cool. And got a whole whopping $2.00 in free chew..... Damn tobacco laws
