I almost have one. It's on order. I know that's not what you asked, but I'm pretty excited about it so I felt that posting a reply was necessary.

With 3 people, boat blind, 5-6 dozen decoys, guns, etc, we were goin 22.

Still pretty damn good with that load.

Yea it does pretty well. I was hoping to be above 20 so im happy with 22.

No dog, and we are all around 170 lbs. When the weight is dispersed right, it does not struggle at all to get up and go.

The more I hear about everyone talking about these makes me want to save some cash and just get a 1626 from GT package 2. I think it would help having the 16ft a little wider, but there is no hunt deck.

A little bit more width would help it carry a load better. I think a 1646 would do great.

I would def go 46 or 48 at 16 feet. A little longer and you can go narrower.

we are going to some credit unions tomorrow so far I have 4.5k to put down on a new rig and I want cheap payments. Boat is mainly for duck hunting and fishing with 2 every now an then 3 guys. So I am thinking this might work for me.

Man the 46" bottom is iffy, I don't know if it will perform.

No my true bottom is 46". But I think 47" might be better, wait or was it 45", oh shit was it 44"and 5/16". Oh darn I can't remember.

Freedom. Go with ya gut or builder recommendations. I wanted 16.6' x 46" from get go. I had a 23hp at the time. So my builder suggested the 17x48. I agreed cause the man knows his stuff. But with the way the 25gtrs had been performing he thought the original size would be ok. And I believe he was right. Now another size could run better. It's all in the build. Time will tell.

Its really going to be payments and how much. It is nice to know though that I will be comfortable with 1846 and GTR35 package 4 at GTB, or 1646 with GTR25 package 2. I am really like the idea of lower payments. 12.5k for package 2 seems like a good deal.

I got just less than 12k in mine. But I bought a used trlr.

I am wondering what the weight difference would be between the 1646 GTB and your hull and how much that is going to affect performance.

On a 16.5' x 46" boat, there is a 22lb difference between .100 & .125

Thanks guys good info, we will see what kind of results i get from the bank which is going to be the deciding factor in my purchase.

Seeing how this is 2+ years old I figured I would rekindle the flame and get some more speeds from different guys. I'm running 22 on my rig, 2 guys, barley pops, and some rods
