 Bigger oil cooler

Post Bigger oil cooler
Guys wondering if anyone makes long runs like 10 miles plus and noticed how hot there sd gets I want to add a bigger oil cooler has anyone done this if so please give suggestions....

Order the Lrg PS. Fit's in the stock location pretty well. Same heavy duty style as the stock cooler, just two inches taller. There is a write up on the bps forum if you'd like to see the temp comparisons. Several of us running these with good luck.

Yeah that's a good point bc I was wondering ab the cooler on front but I agree I think I would want it on the side for sure now

Are you running that inline with your stocker? Have you measured oil temps to see the difference between them?

I'm not running it inline. Just ran oil hoses to the one pictured and made a plate to cover the holes in cowling. First time running it was this weekend so haven't had a chance to measure oil temps.

Its been about two or three years since I played with temps, but I want to say the stock cooler was more efficient than the trans cooler by itself and the one I'm running is pretty much the same as those two in series. May want to look into it. You have an oil temp meter/gauge?

I certainly do. And I have one of the coolers you are running as well. Just going to play around with them and see what temps I register.

Cool, post up your findings! Both of ours run HOT during the summer. I haven't checked mine recently but we got dads to stay down around 220 now, IIRC. It was pushing 250 after a long run in 100+ with the stock cooler by itself.
