 Cowboy boots?
I'm thinking I need a new pair. I thinking a pair of alligator skin boots however I may be swayed to something else. Where can I get a good pair? What would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

 Re: Cowboy boots?
In Texas, if you're first thought when thinking about new boots is "I should get alligator", you should prolly pass on the boots....
Haha. It all depends on what you want. Square toe, round toe, work boots are usually more comfortable, but nothing slides better across a dance floor than a good ole slick bottom reg leather boot. And they shine up just fine.
I'm enjoying my square toe tony llamas right now.

 Re: Cowboy boots?
Been wearing the same style of tony lamas for the past 10 years. I wear boots everyday and find mine to be very comfortable. The grips on the bottom help with those slick surfaces

 Re: Cowboy boots?
Tim's Boots online has the best selection of Alligator if you know your size. My most comfortable pair of boots are Tony Lama Triple R. My Ariats are nice but a little heavy. I buy from The Boot Store in Baton Rouge

 Re: Cowboy boots?
For a nice set to go out in or to just look good go get a pair of ridge backs by Lucchesse. You won't be disappointed! The wear good and last a long time. If you ever go out dancing make sure to get leather bottoms. Either way you can't go wrong with them. I got to pair one being alli and the others Austriage .

Been wearin lucchese 1883's for years and probably won't ever switch. They are the most comfortable boots I've worn.

 Re: Cowboy boots?
Thanks guys. I have had Tonys and Justins in the past. Really liked them. I wear 13 size and looking for the traditional leather bottom roundish/pointed type boot. When I was in college I had a pair of Tonys and that is what a girl in spanish class keyed in on and now 26 yrs later with that same gal I'm lookiing for another pair. Med I was thinking those would be good for driving my truck to the river and then switch over to my shrimp boot. Those look comfortable for long drives.

 Re: Cowboy boots?
You should google "pointed mexican boots". They even have some that have glow in the dark piping.

 Re: Cowboy boots?
Ostrich feels broke in the first time you put them on. Very tough also. By far my favorite hide for boots. I have 5 pair from black funeral/wedding full quill to ones that never get the spurs taken off them and they still look good when wiped off. Stingray, shark or elephant are tough as well. I have a wide foot and the square toe is much more comfortable than a traditional round toe.

 Re: Cowboy boots?
I've got quite a few pair, but these two have to be my favorite.. I use the twisted X most for work as you can tell by the wear (left). One of the most comfortable and best looking work boot in my opinion. I also like the look and how comfortable my Double H's are. (Right)

http://www.lucchese.com/products_detail.php?id=2138http://www.lucchese.com/products_detail.php?id=2135cant go wrong with either one. ostrich is a little more comfortable but a good gator belly cut is right there with it.

 Re: Cowboy boots?
Lucchese full quill ostrich in brown and Lucchese caiman belly in black are my dress boots.
I wear Ariat for casual, working, and riding. By far the most comfortable boots for me. I wear a square toe in about all my boots, because I have a really wide foot.

X2 to the square toe boots. I have a wide foot by far i find that square toe boots are the way to go. You defaintly can't go wrong with a good pair of full quill ostrich boots, ostrich is a good soft comfortable leather
