Rod Box Length and Different Fishing Rod Lengths??
I don't fish. The most fishing I've done is pond fishing and I know where all the fish like to hang out.
With that said, what length is average fishing rod and what length are most rod boxes in boats?
I have only done a couple and made them exactly 84" (7') long and haven't had any complaints yet but just curious what everyone who fishes and uses different rods and rod boxes opinions are.

There are alot of bass fishermen that use 7 1/2' to 8' rods for flipping and pitching just a thought.

Well 7 foot rods usually are longer than 7 foot! Most of my rods are 7'6. Only rods I use that are smaller are for wade fishing.

most my rods are 6 - 7' but i have a few 8' rods for musky fishin. I would make it 8'3 that way you'll be sure to fit about any rod somebody would be fishin with.

I would for sure go 8'. Flippin sticks are usually 7'6"-8' (so are a lot of deep crankin' rods). The trend has been towards longer rods for a while now as materials have gotten lighter/stronger and more sensitive.

7'6" is what most of mine are I have one 8fter ... The waders use 6-6.5 but I'm buying a boat so I don't have to wade
