 Re: Pelican coolers?
heavy as hell, hold ice just as good as the yeti, latches arent as good though, id go with yeti, k2, grizzly something along those lines.

 Re: Pelican coolers?
Got one. Like it. Definitely holds ice just as good as others. It does seem to be on the heavy side but I haven't compared the spec sheet. I like the handles better than others. And I think latches are more heavy duty then others.

 Re: Pelican coolers?
Oh & if i remember correctly a pelican 45qt is about 48qt and a yeti 45 qt is like 40qt. So the pelican is actually bigger.

 Re: Pelican coolers?
I have the 45Qt.
Holds ice as advertised. Cost about half as much as a yeti. Heavier, but they are all heavy compared to a standard cooler.
I bought mine on amazon for $200 with no tax.

 Re: Pelican coolers?
what about canyon coolers? the outfitter line looks good. they have a 22qt. 120 / 50 qt. 250 / 75 qt. 300 / 125 qt / 400. i think specs say over 2'' insulation in lid and sides 1.5'' in bottom. the latches are set in flush with front of cooler so you cant hit them on anything
