Post New Rig Almost Finished
Talked to my builder yesterday and he told me the boat should be done by next weekend. Then it'll be off to prodrive for a new 3rd gen 36.

Not sure if I'm supposed to post builder info since he isn't a sponsor. PM me if you want more info. Mine won't have the EFI. Wanted to run without it and see if I like it. If I decide to add it later, I will. That's when my bonus check from work will come in handy.

It's 17'6" x 48" with a 60" beam and 18" hunt deck.

Builder is a local guy, names Darren. He used to own Redbird's Aluminum. Now he works full time and does boats on the side.

That wouldn't be Darren Heltz in LaPlace, would it?

He built mine, and I see a lot of similar lines and structural features.

Actually he's painting it. It'll be a marsh boat brown with some mixed grass stencils. I dont have a picture of his boat to show the pattern. And it'll have marsh brown gator base and g2 gator glide on the bottom.

Paint wise, that's exactly what he did with mine. I think he said it was his first one to put Gator Glide on. You're gonna love the boat. Mine is a f@cking tank, and every weld is absolutely perfect. He builds a fine boat for sure! Congrats

Here are some slightly better shots of the paint he put on mine, if you wanted to see it. I don't have any pics on my new phone, so I'm just having to pull them off Facebook right now if the quality is shitty...

Just got home from seeing the boat in person. It's definitely meeting all my expectations. Nice to see my drawing on paper come to life. They were finishing up on the bow fishing rail then it's on to paint. So ready to have it all together so I can get on the water.

Whiskey Ditch would be correct, leaving Camp Gordon. That's in Mobile, AL on the Tensaw Delta, not SETX, but parts do look very similar.

Hopefully get to pick it up this evening or tomorrow evening after work. Do a little rigging then try to bring to prodrive Friday.

Its not too bad. May end up shortening the trailer a little. Hadn't decided yet. The catwalk is my favorite feature

I don't remember off the top my head. I'll have to pull some measurements.

My dad and I made the trip to prodrive on Saturday to drop off my boat. I was very impressed with their shop and with KP. He took the time to show us around and went through and showed us all the upgrades that are in the new lower units. When you see the new clutch compared to the old, its a big difference. I'm excited to get my boat back so I can try it out.
