Post Building copy of mb fast grass blind
Hey guys new to mat, I just got me a new gator trax 1750 with hunt deck and trying to build a a copy do the mb fast grass they sell for this thing. I'm not wanting to drill any more holes than I have to in my new boat and was wondering what to do instead of mounting PVC at the bottom like it shows them doing. Thanks for any information and would love to see pics of y'all's gator trax boats with blinds. Thanks guys

Its going to be tough to do without mounting the PVC stationary if you're using grass. Can it be done? Absolutely. Will the grass take a beating even more without it secured in place? Absolutely.

How much are you willing to replace grass frequently?

BTW...welcome to the fold. You're going to enjoy that boat.

Does your boat have the two holes on each gunnel for the blind rope to go through? Should be a total of 4 holes drilled through the top of your gunnel (2 on each side forward and aft).

you can use around a 2" rope zip tied to the bottom of your mats netting right below the gunnel rail... its enough weight to keep it stretched and also big enough to catch gunnel to fold.. you will have to pull the middle in to get it to fold tho or you may be able to bend some metal rods or coat hangers around the rope into hooks to catch the gunnel instead of just dropping into the water when you fold next one i may see about finding a way to fasten pvc with rivnuts to the gunnel top

Here's pics of mine mounted the normal way. Clips haven't caused any issues with the blind removed. 10 on each side.

Put a picture of your gunnel type here and I will see if my clips will work!
