zigged when I should have zagged and ended up on a sand bar... no winch, no cell service, had to wait 8 hours on high tide... ran out of beer, almost died...

uhhh i was crawfishing this year running my 40 merc and i was turning cuz i miss my trap and my motor hit a cypress knee and i fell and the motor went wide open threw the woods scared the shit out of me ...

I was coming in from the camp in my skiff with da long tail. Tide was low and mud was showin everywhere. There is a series of sharp turns in one of the bayous I was runnin. Came around first turn wide open and made it fine. Crossed the bayou to cut the other corner sharp and got up on the mud in the inside of the turn. Boat started sliding. Now, im standing up steering this long tail through a left hand turn, wide open, with the tiller/throttle behind my back trying to turn harder putting the handle further behind my back. Couldnt get to the throttle cause one hands on the tiller, the other on the oh sh*t handle. All I could do was prepare for impact. Hit the bank and skidded about 30 feet up in da marsh. Called my podna that was still at the camp and he helped me get out.

wasnt looking where i was going...hit a tree head on at WFO..flew forward and broke my neck, factured my skull, and broke my arm....got up, kicked the tree over, pulled out the dent in the front of the boat, and went on about my business.

Had to fight two fat chicks to get them out of my boat one time. It got pretty ugly. Got my ass kicked, then had to lure them out with cupcakes. True story.

Hit an underwater object with a 14' flat with a long tail,ripped a hole in the bottom.Had to stop every few minutes to bail it out,pulled the plug but that was not enough.

Ran a 16' flat up on a gate in a bayou and put the stern underwater by the time I was able to jump to the front and push off the boat was full of water.The gas tank was floating outside the boat.The motor stayed out of the water because of the blue foam insulation my uncle put under the floor boards for floatation.

Sank a small flat and longtail when it started taking on water without me knowing until it was too late and it was only about forty degrees that morning.

Caught a long sleeve welding shirt in my prop doin 40 mph, it threw the tiller into my chest then pulled outa my hand, boat starts makin a left turn at WFO skipping side ways, i jumped to the side of the boat opposite of the turn, pulling the kill switch in the process, the whole time praying that shit sumbitch dosnt start to barrel roll!!!!!!!!!! SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME!!!!!!!!!!!

No crashes or sinking. But I have spent a few nights in the boat broke down until someone came along and towed me in. Most of that was years ago before cell phones though. I did get high centered a couple years ago on the lake and had to crawl, swim and walk back to the truck. That sucked. Left home that morning and didn't put my winch back in the boat and forgot my cell phone on the charger. That shit won't ever happen again. Either one would have saved the day for me.

I ran out of cigarettes and vodka one morning while hunting.

was sailin up a creek headed 2 a river channel and caught a tree with my trollin motor, broke it off the boat, it shot the boat 2 the other side of the creek under a fallen tree which hit me at my sternum then peeled me over the top of my long tail into the water, it was feb. no life jacket motor was still goin, the kill switch pulled off my arm. had to strip out of my wet cold clothes and headed in

Picking up decoys in a dinky ass 14/32 and lost my balance, stepped on the gunnel to try and not fall out and rolled the thing anyway, had a nice big ball of decoys on top of a sunken boat, belly button deep water and my hip boots were halfway down. Last saturday of the season, had to walk the trail back to the truck about 1/4 mile away after I got my sht straight.

1. sunk boat in late november in wisconsin, had to wait for buddy to come an get us after an hour an a half in waste deep water.

2. Sunk boat next to beaver house in the summer. Bad part is that the only guy with a mm in the area was in the boat with me. Had to call a friend to get other boat and waited 2.5 hrs on beaver house with only air cleaner on old style pd sittin out of water. ( both sinkins, took plugs out and turned over motor, wd40 and lots of oil changes but still runs strong.)

3. Two weeks before duck season, scoutin birds made wrong turn and ended up on hard land. No cell phone. Had to walk 2 and a half miles out and make a river crossin with the dog. Only had shorts, tee shirt and crocks on. Saw grass is the devil. Told the wife I would be home at 6.30 to watch Packer game. Made it to my sisters house to call rescue crew at 10.30. Needless to say may wife was not impressed.

Ran out of power pellets!!!!

Drinkin one day and wasn't paying attention to where we were goin. At idle i ran up a stumpand proceeded to climb it till the back of the boat went under. water was about 3' got out the boat and bailed it out.But i didn't spill my beer
