Post Drivers seating in a narrow boat with a huntdeck
Id like to see other ideas of seating in narrow boats plz. my boat is a 1644 and I never can seem to get comfortable on a long run. I sit on a mounted ice chest, but always seem to be in an awkward position. Not sure if I need to move forward or what. I hope not because my grab bar would be all up in the way. So if you got a narrow boat, particularly one with a huntdeck, and are comfortable, plz post pics so I can get ideas.

Thanks guys!
Rod

This drives box is working out pretty good for me. It's low but I put my throw cushion on it and its perfect.

How tall would you say it is with the cushion in top? I'm wondering if maybe I'm sitting too high/low also.

I put a pedestal mount in this boat. Working out great so far. On long runs, I can lean back in seat & prop feet up on cooler, tackle box, etc. Like cruising around in a Lazy Boy now.

Seat should not be higher than your gunnel. You will get ejected to the side under right conditions.

Yep 1840....gas and battery on left side of boat me on right.....balances well with little to no tiller torque. Kick your feet up on the gunnel and cruise......

Is the seat higher than the sides or lower?

Looking closer at the pics I think it may be an inch or 2 higher than the gunnel.

Thats what I used... I use 2 30 cubes for passenger seating now.... decided I liked sitting back in a chair and was better for my back......
