Hey Jack! I find it kinda humorous and don't mnd the kids watching either. Can't say that about a lot of the shows on today's TV channels.

It's getting more scripted but I'm pretty sure Si is just nuts.

They are really retarded. Don't know why everyone likes a senile dumb azz Vietnam vet that carries sweet tea and a ugly azz puke green cup all the time ( and I've seen him numerous times around town without it). I don't know about y'all but down here we try to avoid people like that.

My wife and kids love the show. And hell yea its scripted, maybe not all the lines, too many seem spontaneous....but the direction...... if you still believe reality tv is real thats some funny shit....I gotta give it to those boys. They didnt turn down a dollar for endorsements. They are on everything from igloo coolers to under wear. Goid fer them and my kids are happy watching the show.....

I watched it when it first came out, figured it'd be like their hunting DVDs but wasn't.
But I still watch it over you think you can dance or big brother or singing shows.

Call me what you will but I enjoy watching the show. Sometimes it's nice to watch tv where every other words isn't a cuss word a talking about sex or drugs. Some of it is probably scripted but who cares, what on tv isn't. One of the main reasons I like watching it is because Phil probably has more money than bill gates but sure doesn't act like it. The only thing I do t like is how it has made every knucklehead around think they can kill ducks.

I don't get whatever channel it's on. I did see one episode while I was in a hotel thinking it was going to be like their old videos. Seemed like a just another really bad, scripted "reality" show that has nothing to do with reality.

This is just like when American Chopper got popular, their face was plastered on everything also. Do I blame them, no, gotta make the cash while the getting is good. This show isn't gonna last forever, it will eventually fizzle out and fade away. I will have to say this season seems way more scripted than earlier episodes. Last nights was not that great.

The stats show 11.8 million viewers each week. 11 million are women and kids. My wife loves that show. It hurts my Ultimate fighter show viewing.
I agree its a good family show and I watch it to laugh at Uncle Si. He makes the show in my opinion.
Do you remember one show where Uncle Si said back when he was in the Army no one knew his name only that he was the guy walking around with a cup of tea in his hand. My dad was over watching the show with my wife and I. I asked my dad 'hey Jack when you was in the Army did you walk around with a glass of tea in your hand'. My dad told me that if you were seen with a glass of tea in your hand they would find something else to put in your hand. Dad did say they called each other Jack all the time in the Army back then.
We know its scripted however its a good family show about what most of us do and take for granted. My lawyer daughter tells everyone that ask about her family and she tells them we are just like the DD show without the beards.

I'm sure its not all what you see on TV, and I'm sure they work long and hard hours doing so many different things, but "hunting" for a living can't be all that bad. So hell yeah, I'm jealous; but good for them

Heck I would do the same. Make it while you can. As far as living on the same bayou with Shelby, actually I think that be a hoot.

I don't see what all the fus is about. It's a good clean show. Not even really about hunting all that much, I see more about family values than anything.

Dam. That's a good point. I figured he did that type of driving while filming at it was all BS. Didn't realize he drove like that all the time. Think I'd have to get with fellow neighbors and teach him a lesson or put him out of commission.

Well I'd advise staying off the water or come up with a way to slow his ass down. Like chain streached across the water bout 15 ft up with pipe hanging down off it spaced a ft apart. Either slow down and pass throughput it or tear your shit up.

If you have watched the show and have some deductive reasoning skills, you will realize they have a topic and just go with it....they film it obviously in a day or 2 if they are camping out or what not......It is low budget and edited into a show......unlike swamp people, they film the whole gator season and wear the same clothes etc....and the editing is horrible compared to dd.......

I wonder if the ones jealous of the Robertsons will start hating on Sadie because of this?

Ok thats maybe where I didn't quite get it.
So its not a hunting show, its just entrainment and low budget hard case.
That makes a lot more sense now. I dont see it running longer than th the first season here, they have put out on free to air tv and the humour is probably a bit simple for most kiwis.

Aotearoa is maroi for land of the long white cloud and thats about the most I speak, show normally is mostly in English and has sub titles.
