My New (to me) Pro-Drive 18x48 Stick Steer
Finally decided to get a big enough boat to haul the wife and kids safely.
I only have about 10 minutes run time, but the steering setup is definitely sweet. The double taper chine is slower but I was impressed how its cuts on a dime.
I dropped it off at Pro-Drive this morning to get EFI installed.
Couple pics:

KP and Peck were telling me that they have been seeing some really great improvements with the EFI on the generation II lower units. Be sure to capture some before speeds/rpm's/loading so you can give us a good review of the "after."

Don't have much 'before' data. Ran it for 10 min in the middle of a lake with a 1' to 1.5' chop. Also the valves leak horribly like most, which is getting fixed too.

Brian said average speed increases were 3 to 4 mph.

Re: My New (to me) Pro-Drive 18x48 Stick Steer
I have heard people are seeing better speed improvements with the EFI on Gen II vs. Gen III LU's. But....I think PD is working out a few details that may soon change that with the Gen III.
It could be that more people are dropping them on the older motors right now...so we are hearing more older motor reports.

You buy from a guy in East Texas? A guy hung out with us for a while on our Caddo ride that had a boat just like that.

He was from Longview, Tx. I asked if he rode caddo, he said no.

Damn nice rig man congratulations. You run the trees at all? I'd be interested to see how it ran in tight timber.

Re: My New (to me) Pro-Drive 18x48 Stick Steer
Didn't Will's boat run 34-35 with a stock prop? I think he said it was worn pretty bad too. And that was at the ~4600rpm range.

I realize that but simply talking about rpm, prop and speed. I'm not going to call t-bubba a liar but odds are against it.
