I am wanting to build some removable seat bases and also add one pedistal base to the front deck. Where can I buy some made of aluminum so i can weld them on? I am looking for the portion that would mount to the boat and have the female reciever for a seat pedistal.

I have looked locally and all i can find is galvanized. I plan to stop by Bass Pro on the way home from picking up my slightly used Aucoin hull tomorrow. Mabey they will have something.

Gator Tail had some seat bases that were aluminum might want to give Kyle or Hoyt a call. I bought 3 from them and they work great.

I had one of the bass pro "prowler" seats they are the ones that sit on that little pond cruiser they have rigged up with a trolling motor. The seat base worked good but needs to be reinforced my buddy 160lbs broke it. I'd suggest looking at something more heavy duty or "beefing" it up if you can weld in some braces yourself.

Yeah I looked at bass pro yesterday and all they had was the stainless versions. I am looking for just the pedistal base that I can weld on to the front deck or on a seat base that I can build myself. I may have to just go with stainless and bolt it on instead. I know there is aluminum out there though. That is what PD puts on their removable seat bases.

I've had the seat bases and tried going that route but ended up being in the way and where I sat during hunting wasn't where I sat while driving the boat etc.

I ended up going to Academy and buying the director camo chair for $9.99 came complete with a carrying case and two cup holders

I just wanted to avoid putting holes into my hull.
