I went out there today .. Coming into the flat was straight mud .. Backed off and eased through no problem .. Then I decided to be a dumbass and stop in middle lol .. That didn't turn out too well .. Spun boat around and dropped pin to bottom hole and we inch our way out ..

Did alright .. First real mud that I was able to get into .. Went through fine as long as running at least half speed .. Wasn't able to jump out the thick shit but never really technically got stuck just inched out .. Momentum is key oh and GG probably would help a little also ..

That has plenty of water in the mud in that pic. Last year that spot turned to play-dough.

It claimed a lot of big motors as well as small.

If the tide is like it was last year and the year before, we dont need to go to that spot. Everyone needs to launch and head west towards moon pond area and flats. To much confusion and not everybody was together last year. It was split up for most of the run. We need to try to get everyone at one location. That spot you show in the pic is nasty when the tide blows out, mud has too much sand in it. moon pond is much better due to that side of Bessie having more freshwater intrusion.

All it takes is one person to get hurt to mess this whole thing up.

I witnessed several idiots last year at the entrance of moon pond going WFO and jumping the salt grass where it bottlenecks opening up to the turn just before the big flat. 10 seconds seperated people T-boning each other and for the ones jumping , they could have landed on top of another boat.

Im boatless now but im going to find a ride out there before so we can set up some cane with flagging tape at this bottleneck to show everyone where to slow down and keep traffic on the correct side coming in and out. Lets just hope some douche dont run it all over. Im not very good with google or i would post a picture of the area im talking about
