Post Which 35 Prodrive year to steer clear of when buying used
I have done some digging but can't seem to pinpoint the not so good years for the lower units in the PD. It seems 07-08 are finicky and that by 09 the issue was fixed.

Can somebody give me a good schooling on the full gammut of issues they had and when they were corrected ?

Much obliged.

I may be wrong, but I don't think there were any "bad" years to necessarily stay away from. I believe like many products they just found ways to improve on the LU's each year. Mine is an '06 and the only problem I have had was a leaky prop seal. I ordered a new one with 3 seals instead of the old version with 2 seals and I was back in business in no time.

Not sure of the year but pro-drive's lower unit would ketch and build up vegetation. I think you can tell by looking at the skeg and tell if it is the model that does that.
