I got my prop worked and re pitched today!

The shine ought to add at least 3mph or so!! Haha!

Damn, that thing looks slick! Fill us in on the backstory... Changing pitch trying to get better speed/load carrying? That a stock GT you had worked on?

its 985-868-0103 its a stock GT prop that I ran for 61 hrs and then got the mods done and it ran its ass off and then here lately im been having to bury it to the 4500 rpm range to make it run! S I decided to go to my good ole prop guy with it today and have a talk with him about it! and I decided to add 1'' of pitch to it and we was talking about how the new GT props aren't coming finished and that I was going to the GT dealer up the road and buy a new one and if he would polish it for me and I went ride there and they were closed cause of this weather me having so when I went back to get my wheel he comes bring it to me looking like a set of brand new chrome 26'' rims LOL and I started laughing and hes like what and I said I just wanted u to clean up the worn edges (make them back straight instead of wavey) and add a inch of pitch to it and that was it ! then had to explain that some of the new props are not coming finished!

the prop had a total of 3/16 ish missing all the way around not just 1 way! it use to run rolling at 4710 but turning that I felt like I was slowing down so 1 day I said ill bump the trim down and I felt it pick so I bumpd it down again and it picked again so I played with it and 4400-4500 is were it was running the best after being worn down!

does he balance them also?

yes baggy doesn't let a prop leave half ass!!!

ive dealt with powertech on small outboards and they are very inconsistent so I was thinking about having a prop worked to exact spec.

yesser.....wonder if he would get me a new one and work it and mail it to me? So I could save a 2 1/2hr drive.

call and talk to baggy and see what he tells u but I think I know he will tell u to order it urself and have it shipped to him cause he would have to mark it up to sell it to u

I got mine back and you could still see welds in the thing... Not balanced worth a damn either. Just gonna end up buying a new one and keeping this one for a back up...

Nice looking prop! The GT props remind me of a Chopper prop I used to run on a former bass boat. That boat screamed with that prop!

I have been buying props and getting props worked by baggy since I'm 14 so I'm sure my cash no reciept price is very diffrent!! (80)

Yep it can be done but with a mud motor I don't weld them back up cause we hit to much shit and I find the welded area will peel back so I just get my props grinded back equal and add pitch!

Good deal I'm about to send ya one at the end of Feb then.
