Post Best wiring setup
Have one battery now gonna add another, I heard 24v is best way to wire them, however Im going to add a trolling motor which says 12v. Seems most trolling motors I was interested in say 12v. Should I just wire these batteries in parallel for 12v?

Correct me if I'm wrong but 24v trolling motors are usually more expensive higher thrust motors for large boats?

We have a 80lb thrust 24v saltwater on our bay boat. Put that thing on the back of my boat and im sure itll get on step! 55lb is plenty!

I was told a 12 volt trolling motor uses more juice than a 24 volt motor if they are pulling the boat at the same speed.
