 Go devil 23 hp idle problem What is the rpm idle suppose to be out of the water I am only getting 1000 rpm any info will help the motor don't even have 5 hours on it yet but I when I put it in the water it wants to die when under load on idle I have kept it around 1150 r 1200 with my hand on throttle

Re: Go devil 23 hp idle problem It won't die on idle once it's warm, you can adjust the linkage. I have mine set to idle around 1200 out of water and it will turn up to 4300 or so.

Re: Go devil 23 hp idle problem I had mine running between 850 and 900 in water. I like to keep it as slow as possible and still run on water

Re: Go devil 23 hp idle problem I usally let the motor run the whole time I am getting the boat ready then when have it in the neutral position it's when I am lowering it in to water the rpm go to 750 and it wants to die but I am gonna let go devil fix it and 1200 out of water what does it run in the water 1000 1050 rpm just curious thanks guys
