stock motor, then added marsh mellow exhaust, but i don't think it's changed speeds. if i redid my set up, think i'd get 18 x 48-54

i would have to get an allison hull to get the top speed i really want. never satisfide so i quit worrying about it.

Custom built 18x48 with a mud buddy HD 7000.
Me alone I've saw 38 mph when I first got it but never ran it in the skinny water yet and clocked it. More than fast enough for me already. I'm more than happy with it. Three guys and gear she'll run 31-32 at around 4200 rpm.

Got 40 now and 34 mph with 5 people and all our gear

1854 GTB and GTR with 12 gallons of fuel and 2 peeps hit 40.2 mph. 6 peeps and 10 gallons of fuel was holding 35 mph. 1852 GT Extreme with tow peeps hit 39.8 mph.

Yea your rite i have a 1648 ribed boat with a horrbile hook in it but it is lite and hops to much . But i put my motor on a Heavy 1648 Go-Devil slick bottom boat with an extended deck, gun boxes, floor, and 2 storage box seats and gain speed. My boat is to lite and short.
