Here are the final details for this year's GWF poker run at Lake Seminole. We are expecting an even bigger crowd this year and we have some great prizes for the raffle. All proceeds go to Youth hunting programs in GA and FL. If you are looking for a place to stay call Spring Creek Park and Resort at the number below and see if they still have room - you will be able to walk to the water and all the festivities.
The poker run is $20 per boat. One hand per boat. We will draw cards at each of 5 stations.
Raffle tickets are $20 each or 6 for $100. I can comfortably say that everybody that has ever bought 6 tickets walked away with more than their money's worth. T-shirts and Coozies for the event will be available.

My count for those who say they are coming as at 33 boats right now; it's gonna be a big one. I've heard that Big Jim's is booked solid now but I haven't called them to confirm that. Trail's End marina has cabins available and is about a 10 minute ride by truck. Jack Wingates Lunker Lodge is on the other side of the lake and has more cabins and a motel-type set of rooms as well and is about a 10-15 minute boat ride over.

Them cabins at Trails End are decent. We've stayed there before. Should be able to make it to Reynolds by boat in 15mins.

Winggates would be a better choice for anyone on the East side anyway. Thats where we put in at every year.

My thoughts are wingates is a better choice too. 15 minutes from trails end would be pushing it even for somebody in a fast boat that knows where to run the lake comfortably without using the channels.
They are installing a larger set of ramps at Big Jim's right now to accommodate big bass tournaments. Right now the projected date for opening them is Labor Day weekend. If that's the case then closer to time I will post up truck and boat driving directions from the next closest landing (one is only about 5-6 mins by boat and same by land).
