 Re: Prius of mud motors
Seems like a cool idea for limited access areas in PAC.

 Re: Prius of mud motors
Man I can think of about 1,000 uses for something like that where I hunt. That's a neat little deal

I wouldn't mind having that just to float some local rivers during duck season

 Re: Prius of mud motors
Nope my 36 gets me everywheres I need to go I have no use for that but that is a good thing to have on limited access but it wouldn't cut it with 3 people 10 dozen decoys in 6 inchs of water on a sand bar I don't hunt the limited access but maybe a hand full of times a year and when I do my spot is a 50 yard walk and I just push my boat

I can't imagine where you'd put all them when riding out. Not to mention picking that many up in the cold.
Zeek, that's over kill.

 Re: Prius of mud motors
Ive always thought about making one with an electric golf cart motor. You would have a pretty good bit of weight in batteries, but those lil motors make a lot of power and would be quiet.
Perfect lil rig on a lease or somewhere you don't have to run very far or fast.

 Re: Prius of mud motors
Hey you don't have to believe me I know what works but second split I do cut down. I have a buddy that uses 18 dozen duck decoys and 1 dozen speck decoys per blind in a rice feild you should see that shit

 Re: Prius of mud motors
You can get away with quite a few less when you use clean realistic with some motion on the water. I hunt some bigs ass water with no more than 5 dozen

 Re: Prius of mud motors
Weve tried running smaller spreads. The only time weve had luck at our blind is right around opener before the ducks show up. Ill do a dozen geese and 2 or 3 dozen ducks. After the ducks leave well wear out the golden eyes over 6 decoys....the rest of the season its big spreads like zeek

 Re: Prius of mud motors
They do get cleaned and you can read on ducks unlimited or delta waterfowl they all say the same thing bigger spreads during firsts split the better but during second split start to cut back now I'm sure up north all you need is 2 decoys but not on the coast of Louisiana don't get me rong the I could hunt with 6 dozen and still shoot my limit but niger spreads like that pulls the ducks from other rafts in the bay

 Re: Prius of mud motors
Yep, we do big spreads because its hard to compete with with big rafts of real ducks.
