I have my materials receipt what else do I need and can I get it registered all at one time like go to wild life and fisheries and do everything in oNE day

in MN it was easier to register as a custom boat and didn't need anything they (DNR) assigned hull ID number

You just need to submit an application (you can download one off the WLF web site if you do dont have one), and they will respond back to you in a couple weeks with a list of what you will need and a phone number of your local WLF office that you'll need to call to set up an appointment to have the boat inspected at.

I have always done this, however, you may want to call the regsitration office (thier number is on the top of the resistration application) and see if you can bring the boat to the main office in Baton Rouge (without an appointment that is) and they can do it while you wait.

Techincally when you fill out and mail off the regsitration application, that acts as a temporary 60 day registration, and you can legally put the boat in the water at that point, so there is usually never a need to rush to get the boat inspected.

It can't be done in one day. Takes months.

First you fill out your registration form, application for title and application for inspection. All of these forms can be found on LDWF website.

Send that off and wait until they send it back to you. I just got mine back from my last boat yesterday and sent it off first of June.

Then when you get you info back you will have a file id number. Call you local LDWF and tell them what you have. They will send a agent to inspect and stamp your boat.

Then he should send your info off and in a couple of weeks you will get your registration stickers and title in the mail and your done.

Ok I'm just working in tx right now home every other weekend wanted to get it done before teal season so I'll fill the application out and send it off wait for them to call I'm sure they can inspect with out me being there as long as my wife is there

Go to a local office and get the paper. It should be a white and yellow copy. Fill it out. Keep the yellow copy and send it off. Its gonna be about 40-80 days before u hear back. I finished mine in april and just got an appointment setup to go get my hull inspected. Make sure you fill it out correctly if theres a 'screw up' it gets put in the back of the line.

Quick question. I bought a kliebert boat from somebody else. He had it for about a year and never had it registered. I have the original material receipt but my name isn't anywhere on it. Think this will be a problem?
