Yes but only a couple of times when the wind shifted and was in our face. Wind at your back no problem at all. Got the raffia from Joseph M. Stern Co. – Raffia Grass

I think I paid around $120 for 20 lbs of the plain color and then died it myself. That was 2 years ago.

Anyone have any pictures of this blind with the netting and raffia grass in the down position?

Iv got one and I got to say its the warmest easiest and best built blind iv ever used. Thing is tuff as nails. In a thunderstorm not one drop gets to you and it dosent get in the way in the boat (no space lost). I highly recommend this to any one. Easy up and easy down. Comes with rivnuts so it takes about 2 min to get off the boat. Haven't used it as a ground blind yet but I'm sure it will kill ducks with that to.

Whats the height of the blind without the legs? Is it possible to hunt from the blind sitting on buckets without the legs attached?

Would it be possible to install the blind in a boat with an open floor design? Seems like you would need a back deck or bench seat to secure it.

Its not tall enough to hunting out of without legs and you could weld a peice of something to the sides for the open floor plan.

Could make your own legs for the blind for a boat with an open layout, and then secure it down somehow.
