 Prop question.
Theoretically, what would happen if you had a 9x7 prop on a 12hp LT? And what would the speed difference be if you put a 8x4 on it?

 Re: Prop question.
Probably not enough motor to turn it. I had a 8x4 on mine and it loved it.

 Re: Prop question.
Don't know about the 12hp but I ran a 16hp LT godevil 16 ft lowe flat bottom- for mud and lilies a 2 blade 9x4, and with a 3 blade a 9x3, less rpms with 3 blade but a little more speed with less rpms but a lot better with the 2 blade in mud. the biggest difference was when I first got it ran it on a 14x44 flat, the lowe was a 16x46 - IMO longer boat planned better and seem to like the muddy bottom better with a heavier load ability! Mostly ran with 2 hunters, dog, 4 dz. decoys and gear.

 Re: Prop question.
I can't see a 12 HP turning a 9x7 and if it did rpm would be really low the 8x4 is the way to go you'll see better performance all the way around with that
