I'm curious also. I never ran mine bone stock. The stock heads and cam are actually pretty good. So just carb and exhaust will be a good test.

Lee's impressed me bone stock. Wasn't expecting it to pull from the bottom like it does until we saw what the factory cam profile was...

Pay attention to the hole shot, it likes low and mid better than Briggs. I'm certain it would not be as affected by extra weight as the stock Briggs is. That's where we noticed it the most on Bugs barge.

I'm gonna take a guess here and say 27-29 carb gave a bit but your exhaust will help too. Boodrow's all over thirty with 17x54 and his junk but his heads have been worked mildly.

That's what I'm talking bout. Fairly large hull CC with just carb and exhaust, stock heads and stock cam, good numbers.

No. I was just saying that the motor jeramiah has is a 37 and wma legal rating is 36. He said it's the same block as a 35, but it's still a 37 so it would still be illegal.

Good thing all the mod motors running WMAs only make 36 horsepower...

Who cares if it's illegal? Throw a 34 sticker on that bitch. It's not a very complicated predicament.

Throw this is the mix. The Kawasaki FX models (4 total) 921 and 1000 are the same (999cc) and vary from 31hp to 37hp depending on carb or DFI and they dont have a horsepower sticker on them

Read below. This is the carb model that we have. It states 35 hp. FX1000V

Now look at this one. Same everything except DFI. It states 37 hp FX1000V-DFI

I doubt it I think they just jumping on the bandwagon like the EFI guys did and it didn't outperform a briggs with a carb so they trying something else

And if you read all those mower threads, that was indeed an issue, in 2012. My engine is a 2014 as well as every other f'n commercial mower. Go to any reviews site on mowers and just about everyone on those high end mowers have a Kawasaki. It's ok, bad mouth the motor as much as you want, but deep down, your wishing they made it in a horizontal.
