Post Truck bed cover
Anybody got any input on a good truck bed cover manufacturer? I don't really want to go the diamond plate tool box route this time and not interested in a hard cover either. Looking at something similar to a retracting type bed cover that can be removed.

I have the BAK Flip. It's a hard 3 flip cover but wouldn't trade it for anything. Sleek yet functional. Or get a camper shell like Will! :-)

Can you lock it and does it keep your bed fairly dry?

Lock the tailgate.
It has never leaked a drop. My brother had a different brand (the same style) and had lots of leaking issues.
No complaints about my BAK Flip. It will be 4 years old this December.

I've got a tonno-pro tri-fold. It's a soft cover but it keeps the bed dry and can be removed and installed by yourself in a few minutes. Or, flip it up and buckle it back and use your bed. I Bought it specifically for one road trip to put luggage in the bed but have ended up leaving it on. It was cheap too. Around $300 if I remember right. I wasn't gonna drop $1000+ on one, it's easy to do.

I'm on my 3rd pickup with a Retrax cover. I think they are awesome... they basically roll up and lock but you don't need a pull cord to close them. You can stand on them if needed as long as you're under 250lbs. They are waterproof and much less likely to be broken into than a tarp style truxedo. They are ultra easy to install. I think they are worth every penny.

We sell all brands at my store, but I preferred bak flip on my personal truck. I would have gone with the retrax (my other favorite) but I needed all 5.5' of my bed. Just my .02

I also have a Truck Accessories shop and would say these exact words. I have the BakFlip on mine also, and beat it up pretty bad, so it's not pretty but closes and opens just like the day I installed it. I have the Bak Box they also offer and it is very handy. Think we sell ours (BakFlipG2) for 899.00

the backflip seems to have the best over all, hard cover but also flips out the way and completely if need be.
