I'm also working on securing a new lease on the Salt Dome property located near the Dixie Pipeline withing Indian Bayou WMA. Turns out one of the owners children went to college in New York with my daughter and would be more than happy to secure the lease for me.

Here is the latest communication to the St. Martin parish School Board regarding the Bulliard lease and hunting regulations for the Henderson Section 16 permanent blind issue. It is addressed to Dr. Beebe, the superintendent.

"Dr. Beebe:

I spoke last week to Captain Sapietra of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries about the possibility of his agents policing the regulations the board might adopt at its November 5th, 2014 meeting. He said he would be more than happy to assist the school board in doing this as long as your policy or regulations are clear. He requested I update him after the meeting next month and send to him the written policy regarding use of permanent blinds.

I would like to know the board’s protocol on public input at the meetings when discussing items on the agenda. I would like to address the board on the two agenda items of concern to me: 1. Henderson’s Section 16 duck hunting regulations and 2. the rescission of the Bulliard Section 16 hunting rights lease for failure to publically bid. There will be many others, representatives of various public interest groups and individuals, requesting they be heard on these issues as well."
